• A Letter From the President

Welcome to the website for the TN Beta chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of Memphis!  My name is Josh Day, and I am the current Chapter President. Nationally, SigEp has always advertised itself as a fraternity that strives to be "different." This was an idea that has been around since 1901 when SigEp's founding fathers declared that "This fraternity will be different." We are based on the values of Virtue, Dilligence, and Brotherly Love, the foundation of our fraternity.

SigEp strives to build Balanced Men through a 4-year continuous development program that pushes its members to excel in all areas. There is special emphasis on developing our members into Gentlemen, Scholars, Athletes, and Leaders. We believe these are the pillars of a Balanced Man.

We have excelled both athletically and academically on the U of M campus, winning intramurals 6 out of the past 8 years and achieving a 3.0 cumulative GPA in the Fall of 2012. These achievements have allowed us to be recognized by SigEp on a national level by being awarded the Buchanan Cup in 2007, 2009, and most recently in 2011, which seals our position as one of the top SigEp chapters in the nation.  With a driven executive board, we are striving to continue our success into the future. I  encourage you to explore our website so you can see for yourself why we are "different." If you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to contact me personally at jmday@memphis.edu.

    Thank you for your interest!

    Go Tigers!

    Proud to be a SigEp!

    Josh Day, President
